Meditation a oundation Course

This is an awesome book. The lessons are easy to read and follow. Just reading through it made me feel at peace. I like the Ten Lessons layout and being able to read it and apply!

A meditation book that speaks my language!

What I really liked about this book is that is written in such practical, down to earth language. i have spent years getting into meditation through eastern practices, after reading this I have suddenly gone so much deeper! It's definitely because Barry is a westerner and speaks from the experience of living in this culture. the book's exercises are clearly written and really work in the way they are meant to, ie clearing the unnecessary clutter in the mind and dropping through to the stillness beyond it that is always there. I've never read a better book on meditation, and I've read a lot of them! Anyone who meditates or would like to should read this book.

A really effective introduction to meditation

Having never tried meditation, I found the book very accessible and commendably lacking in mysticism. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new perspective, but thought meditation was too way out there to offer one.

Excellent step-by-step method for meditation

An excellent primer on meditation. Dispenses with the religious trappings that may turn away many readers. Quite profound.
