This is the book for you.

Well there is not much to say, except that this is the book for you for mastering Windows NT Workstation 4.0. Whether you want to know NT just to know it, or put it to work for you for your MCSE core requirements. This book was highly recommended by all of my peers who were studying for there MCSE certification.

An execllent all round introduction to NT4

As an NT newby, this book taught me more about windows NT than I ever expected. I only wish I could have found a similar book for win95!It was not only and education in NT, but a good introduction to networking. However, the content was not heavily biased towards networkers.Overall, I found the book highly readable - once I started reading, I read it through to the end: all 1107 pages!

easiest book on NT to understand

This is clearly the best book on windows nt workstation 4. It clearly defines the differences between win95, and the different types of setups that NT has. very good and easy to understand. Plenty of information too!

The Best & Most Informative NT Workstation Book!

After glancing through the first few chapters, I knew it in my heart this was the best NT Workstation Book I have ever read. A very good reference booklet when studying for your MCSE certification. A very well written and organized Book. I recommend this book to anyone who is either studying for the NT Workstation exam or simply looking for answers to problems!

Imparts some, but not enough, information to the user

I found this book to be the best one I have read so far, in regards to introducing the sprawling mass of an OS that NT 4 (Wkstn) is. But this is by no means a full hearted recommendation to buy this book. I found that the Minasi has a fine sense of writing techincal literature, in an almost story telling fashion, and for me I took to this well. But, and this is the problem I had with the title, I noticed on many occasions that there was not enough information to fully go into the subjects that were covered. Annoyingly this happened more than a few times and I was left feeling that Minasi could have easily written more on this or that particular topic, but didn't. I guess this is where the other book in the series, 'Mastering Window NT 4 Server' comes in. This is is not to say that what you will find in the book was in any way useless, or incorrect: on the contary. It was just that once I had read through the book... there was just nothing left to go back for. Everything could be read in about two weeks of solid reading and absorption. Lastly, a final mention to the written format/style: this is not a reference book. It found that I could only read this book in a linear, 'one chapter after the other' type fashion. This was fine for me in the beginning but when I found a problem that I had to solve, delving into the book for a solution meant re-reading whole sections of the book. This is not a reference book. So if you are new to NT 4 Wkstn as I was then you will find a lot of good, welcome information. But having had a taste for this new wisdom, I would look somewhere else, or at least for the reciept.
