This Is A GREAT BOOK!

This is one of the best and most unique books I've ever read! So many things in one multi-faceted story; detailed aspects of a family forced into the label/role/duty/identity, of refugee, by the very country that put them in those roles. The story coming at imperialism, capitalism, colonization, revolution at a wonderfully different angle, and yet still finding room for humor at the most appropriate times. All while serving as an amazing tribute to the author's parents and family. Each page expressing various parts of the author's experiences, conversations and thoughts, blending the future and the past, as well as duel aspects of the present, in prose-like text formatted in unique, and often times poetic formations to fit the subject matter. It was hard to put down between reads. At times like reading several books at once in an uncomplicated fashion. Highly recommended!
