This book (published by Scholastic) is aimed at middle schoolers. But it's a good pick for anyone who wants a basic introduction to the life and mission of Malala. It holds many good photos, rather than elegant artwork. I give the book a 5 for its usefulness, as a brief introduction to what's essential about Malala. In only 48 pages, it introduces an activist middle-school girl who inspires ordinary people to act, to take responsibility for gaining their own rights, to work for their heart's desire. I like that Malala's dad nourished the serious goals of his daughter, and respected her courage.
