A life Altering Book

I have to say that I pick up a lot of books (from personal success to mathematical tomes) and read them over a period of a week to a month, but not this book. This book is so engrossing that I finished it in two days! Peter Kash really hit a note inside me when he talked about the coincidences and serendipity in eveyone's life. When you look at the world the way Peter Kash does everything begins to become clear and you can't help but to look forward to everyday, to meet new people and to appreciate your family and the people you know well. I have recommended this book as a Must read to all of my friends and I recommend it to anyone who is trying to get a "lucky break" on their way to the top! I can assure you that this is not "fluff" or New Age "Gobbledygook". This is a book written from the "gut" from a solid, successful, entrepeneur, who comes across - not as a know it all - but of someone who has learned a lot of secrets on how to make your own luck. Truly a life altering book for this reader.

Incredible Life Lessons

Kash has given us a grand tour of the Web of Life --- all those critical life lessons no teacher can teach. This is not an erudite, scholarly text, nor a "how to" get rich book. Instead, it's so much more --- a rich, textured tapestry reminding us how important it is to do what we enjoy doing, and to enjoy what we find ourselves doing. I read this straight through in one setting --- it's that captivating! If we all carry away one or two lessons that enrich our lives, we will have gained far more than we bargained for. Thank you for this great book!

Life Skills for Our Times

I am a CPA and attorney in practice for over forty years. I have been involved with the financial lives of many successful businesses and their management. This has given me great insight into what kind of skills are essential to succeed in today's business world. Mr. Kash has compiled and put into a lively and fast read format those very skills, and they turn out to be the same as those required for success in our personal lives as well. This book should be required reading not only in every business school in America, but in every high school classroom. What's more, it's not only for the student and the young. At any age, if this kind of thinking and awareness of opportunity and how to take advantage of opportunity has not been developed, it's not too late. Mr. Kash's book will open our eyes. It's a great gift, especially in these troubled times, and will be appreciated for years.

Inspiring

It's been a long time since I have read a book that has inspired me as this one did. Peter Kash's anecdotes and "war-stories" demonstrate that we all can get ahead, as long as we are always looking out for how each of us can seize even the most innocuous of opportunities. This book shows us all what can be achieved but even more importantly represents a guide to how to make our own luck. I personally want to thank the author for changing my life and for his work in funding those companies that create the life-saving medicines that make all of our lives better!!! I would recommend this book for just about everyone...I have ordered over 150 copies and plan to give them out to all my employees!

Discover the web of life!

This insightful and inspiring book is a must-read for anyone who wants to be successful in life, and not just business or a career, but successful as a human being. Peter Kash visited Pace University, where I work as an administrator, and gave a spirited lecture to our grad and undergrad students in which he sighted many of the anecdotes that are featured in this book. The students were so responsive to his lecture that many of them started following up on the suggestions he made to them, and organizing these ideas into action via student clubs etc. This book will help any reader to positively focus on the opportunities that life presents and learn how to make the most of them.
