Magnus Heat

This book has two novellas in it, and unlike alot of books that promise an alpha female to go with their alpha male mate, they deliver! The characters are "real" fully develpoed, but with room for growth. The women are strong independant, smart, and take no prisoners. The dialogue is sharp, full of great sarcasm, and laugh out loud comments! And HOT! I've since bought everything, and I mean everything, by Shelly Laurenston. She rocks!

FINALLY!

At last a book where the women are true Alpha mates to their Alpha mates. If you like smart, strong, assertive women you're gonna love this book. If not don't bother to read it. There are 3 female friends that have very strong assertive personalities, the story is really about 2 of them. Unlike other stories this story doesn't just say the woman is strong independant and assertive, then she acts like a wimp, but has a storyline that actually follows thru. This is also an interracial romance where, thank you Ms Laurenston, race is not even on the radar screen. Ms. Laurenston brings humor to a previously humorless genre. I've already ordered the sequel to this book and anything else Ms. Laurenston has written.

Magnus Heat is Hot!

This book was a kick! I especially love alpha females, I'm a firm believer that women can pretty much do what a man can do. This book shows that to be true. You have three smart and sassy women that show they can handle just about anything, even shifters. I can't wait until the next book is out in print! Shelly Laurentson has brought a new twist to this genre. She has a great sense of humor that shows in her writing. I really like the lighthearted slant she takes with her characters. I highly recommend this book, I think it's right up there with Laurell K. Hamilton, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harrison, and Mary Janice Davidson. Yea Shelly! Keep up the good work!

WOOF WOOF BABY!!!!!!!!

The first time I read this story was an ebook format. It blew me away. I laugh. I cheer. Some of the things the heroines did to their mates was wild and mindblogger. What they did to the lions and the hyneas..WHOA. Think God they are on our side. Now that story is in print. It is better than the 4th time I read it. If you want a story that has crazy kick-ass heroines and total alpha heart throb heroes. This is the story for you. Ms. Laurenston knows what her readers want and she gives you one wild exciting ride. You will not be disappoint. When you purchase this book.

Laugh out loud sexy fun!

Magnus Heat is the first of two stories in a trilogy featuring friends, Sarah, Miki, and Angelina. 'Pack Challenge', the first story, features Sarah. All her life Sarah has known she was different. She just didn't know why. After her parents death, Sarah was sent to live with her psychotic grandmother, often referred to in her town as "That Bitch". Her grandmother refused to let anyone of Sarah's "pack" tell her the truth... that Sarah is actually a werewolf. Her friendship with humans Miki and Angelina is the steady point in her life. When werewolf Zach Sheridan shows up in town, Sarah is attracted to him and suddenly feels all these strange new changes in her body. Zach Sheridan was sent by the Alpha of the Magnus Pack to check on Sarah. Sarah's mother and father were once Alphas of the Magnus Pack and the Pack wants to be sure that Sarah is prepared for the changes coming. Zach is one werewolf who doesn't want a mate, but when he meets Sarah something about her calls to him. It doesn't take long for them to tear the clothes off each other. From the moment he saw Miki, Conall has been intent on having her. Miki is having no part of that, but when she goes to stay with Sarah and the Magnus Pack, Miki is thrown into constant contact with Conall. When it appears as though the Hyenas are going after Miki in order to get to Sarah, Conall decides that he's not letting Miki get out of his sight. It doesn't take long before Conall's got Miki right where he wants her. Or maybe Miki's got Conall right where she wants him. Either way they're burning up the sheets. In spite of Miki's determination not fall in love with Conall, she can't seem to help herself. When the Hyenas attack in force and Conall is injured, Miki realizes just how deeply she feels about him. I can say, with all honesty, that Shelly Laurenston's Magnus Heat is one of the funniest books that I have read in long time. The interaction between Sarah, Miki, and Angelina brought me to tears from laughing so hard. Not to mention the down right hilarious sarcastic comments that flew around constantly.
