I am always one up for self improvement and this book gave me a new insight to life and the way i feel about myself and the idea of relationships. very cliche' but this book really has changed my life!

2 Different Experiences - Book and Audiobook - Both SUPERB!

Peter was a brilliant author and creative genius and was taken from us too soon. This book Love 101 is probably the most brilliant text on self-esteem ever written and the audiobook is a multimedia adventure that will make you smile. By the end of this, you will understand what a wonderful person you really are and feel a bit amazed that this wonderful guy could see the real you in there. This is NOT one of those dry self-help books in the slightest, this is full of humor and kindness where Peter wraps his arm around your shoulder and says "Come my friend, I have someone you should know."

Teaches self-love and self-esteem, but deprecates marriage.

This book is excellent for persons who are unhappy and can't put their finger on why. It teaches you how to stop beating yourself up emotionally and create a "sanctuary" in your mind where you can explore how you want to feel, and what you want to be and do in life. The author is correct in pointing out that you should love yourself, because you are the only one who will always be there for yourself. I am a Christian, and I advise Christians to turn to Jesus once they've reached the limits of what this book can provide. Your faith will help you recognize what these limits are. Christians should remember that, since God and Jesus love you, you should be able to do the same. OK, back to the book. It correctly deprecates infatuation, which produces the notion that "love will always make everything all right" in many people. However, the book goes further, and implies that a successful marriage will only be based on one of several purely practical types of relationship, no love required. There is an entire chapter of quotes, mostly from entertainers, which belittle marriage and even recommend adultery! The possibility of a mature, mutual love developing within and constantly nurturing a marriage is not considered. I think many people can use this book. However, they need to take a hard look at which parts are beneficial for them and which are not.

Love 101 tape the best company while traveling. . .

Peter McWilliams is so tuned into what should be obvious to us all. Love 101 is particularly good company while driving "alone". It is insightful, humorous and I play it often to keep me tuned in and tuned up.

Peter McWilliams is simply brilliant

Ok, i'll admit- i'm a book worm. I probably read about 60 books a year. In all of my years of reading, especially of everything i read in the personal growth field, this is truly one of the best books, if not the best book i've ever read. it is brilliant. You'll laugh and cry all the way through this book, and you'll forever cherish it as one of your most prized possessions. Truly, to love oneself is the beginning of a life long romance.
