This is a Faith and Hope filled book leading you to a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Jennifer takes you on a Journey with her sharing some of her experiences. It is an easy read and you will not want to put it down. Thank you Jennifer for your heartfelt words!

Breaking Through

Look past the typical Christian marketing devices (perfect images) and listen to the heart of Jennifer; you will be enriched by her openness and message. The study is not the typical "fill-in-the-blank" so, sometimes, I had to read and let it "stew" in my heart and mind for a while. Her personal challenges and stories illustrate the struggles that I often overlook because I don't have to deal with blindness. But she has a way of making me drop my guard and I found the challenges enriching. If you're willing to open up to work of the Spirit and let the study probe into our security/comfort zones, this study will deepen your love for Christ and strengthen your personal journey with him. The forward/intro is by Beth Moore...not the study.

Inspiring and Enlightening-a true Gem!

Wow,this book is one of the most inspirational I have read! I can't imagine there is a person out there that wouldn't benefit highly by reading this book! She is honest and transparant about facing her fears, failures, and triumphs and inspires us to face ours; sprinkled with Scripture and honest personal story, she ends chapters with Biblical perspective and how a Christian can apply what she learned to live a victorious life of faith. Reading her vivid story-telling you will not just feel as if you're reading a book; you will feel as if you know her and have journeyed with her. Knowing what she has "walked" through she certainally does convince you that whatever "seeming obstacles" that you are presented with in life-that God will make something beautiful of it and bring you through it, and you will actually be thankful for it. She focuses on thankfulness, rejoicing and a positive attitude being keys-and how her parents, then supportive Mr Wonderful helped and motivated her to overcome the dark and scary places of life by walking out in faith. She is honest about the good and the bad, and gives you the motivation to take the risks, and enable you to find your purpose and not hide or listen to your own excuses any longer! Her journey in the dark has given me such a deeper and richer and understanding of what it means to live by faith, and to walk out into the future that God has for each of us-not knowing where we're going, but trusting His leading and stepping out of our "comfort" places, growing and overcoming! This is a truly inspiring story for any and everyone to read! I recommend this book very highly-as she found her true gem, and many of them spiritually and personally on her faith walk, she will help you find yours! Tammy M. Lessons I learned in the Dark is one of the best books I've ever read. Jennifer uses a humorous style to bring home in very real way how we can find joy in whatever circumstance we are in. Its a wonderful book to give to as a gift - everyone can identify with the lessons she illustrates in this book.I highly recommend it!!

This is a must read book for anyone struggling with the challenges that life throws our way. In the book, Jennifer shares her fears and disappointments, but more importantly, how she overcomes these very real hurdles in her life. Contained in the pages are practical steps and advice in how to overcome the hurdles in all of our lives and how to draw closer to God. Many know of God, few know God in such a loving and special way as Jennifer. This is a book you will want to read over and over again.
