i've always enjoyed sharon green's books, and this has to be one of my favorites. i can certainly empathise with sofaltis, who has so much difficult making herself understood to well-meaning people in her life. the ending is a cliff-hanger, and many of us have been frustrated since finishing the book the first time. however, since i don't seem to be the only fan eagerly anticipating a sequel to this book, i thought that i'd share some info that i recently received, straight from the author herself."Since you've kept your fingers crossed for so long, you might now try a few prayers. I've found someone who's willing to reprint Lady Blade - and also print the sequel, The Argent Swords, which is already written - but we're now waiting on the money person. If that person gets his money in the next couple of days, you can have Lady Blade and its sequel by the end of the year, next January at the latest. If not... I hate to even think about it. I've been trying so *long*...See if you can arrange a group prayer..."alright everyone, you heard the lady -- how much do we want to read the next chapter of this series? (this is a rhetorical question!)
Wow. This isn't just a one book book.

this book was a present for my 16 birthday and I have been searching for the next book from that world. first you have to get adjusted to the writers style then your glued to your seat. you really want to know what happes next and Green isn't above throwing you a curve ball.
I can't believe this is out of print!

As with all Sharon Green's books, I loved this one. Green has a talent for creating strong female characters with their male counterparts. I really would like to read a second book, and the last in Far Side of Forever. It saddens me to think that just because the books are out of print means that I may not be able to enjoy any future books she may decide to write. I'm only 18 and when she wrote most of her books, I was too young to enjoy them. But now that I'm able, I'm trying real hard to find those out of print books. I really wish they were reprinted! Perhaps with the Blending series out now, there is more readers interested in reading her previous books.
A fun action-packed adventure/romance, a great "quick-read"

A fun story of a "proper" but headstrong young noblewoman who, unbeknownst to her father, has in fact become an accomplished mercenary swordfighting "Lady Blade". Through a series of (sometimes comic) mishaps, kidnap and murder attempts, the not-so-helpless lady still manages to fall in love with and capture the heart of her soul-mate, the "Lord Fighter". A fun, action-packed adventure/romance story that is alternately told from both the Lady's and the Lord's point of view.
Really good

This book is really good in the way it captured my attention with the beginning where Sofaltis had to go home and is seemingly thrown out of her Fist. Kylin is very funny in the way he has to pretend to be a Flower and how Sofaltis tries to get rid of him. I love the way Sofaltis is so independant and doesn't give in to pressure except when the appeal to her loyalty to her father. I didn't quite understand how she escapes but in all this book kept me interested from beginning to end. I really hope Sharon Green writes a second book about Sofaltis because I can't wait to find out what happens to her
