One of the BEST

This book has the best basic approach to teaching the fundimentals I have seen to date. The first 2/3rds has a very interesting history, but what I'm impressed with is the instruction and CD that's included. It starts with basic notes, then goes into chords and gives a great introduction into the twelve bar blues. This book singlehandedly can make you a jazz musician. It's easy to understatnd, and can make a beginner feel very comfortable with basic musical structure.
