Enchanting

'Very soon...'" - Amarantz In this second book of the DELTORA SHADOWLANDS trilogy Lief, Barda and Jasmine must journey to find the second piece of the Pirran Pipe, the only thing the Shadow Lord fears on his own territory. But to get it they must face the horrifying Isle of Illusion. Emily Rodda tells this story with terrific fluency. The SHADOWLANDS trilogy is a lot darker than the original series and is a bit more graphic but still it should appeal to many children. This adventure is intermitten with scenes from Del which tells of Sharn and Marilen's search to find a mysterious poisoner loose in the palace. But this new plan of the Shadow Lord's is doomed to sorely test them.

The Isle of Illusion

In this book, Leif Barda and Jasmine are ventureing to a whole new island to get the stem of the Perrian Pipe, the only thing to stop the shadow lord. The have already recovered the mouthpeice of the pipe from the Plumes. Now they are going to the iland of Aron, where they face more dangers, and make new friends. I totally recomend this book, and I think it is a good book for all kids from third grade to any upper grade. This book is a great adventure book, and I hope that everyone likes it as much as I do. To figure out what happens, all you have to do is read the book. This is truly a book you would want to read over and over again! Gillian T.

Rodda can still hold her own

The Shadowlands sequence really picks up the pace in the second installment in a mindblowing fantasy that takes place in two worlds--a raft-dwelling society obsessed with truth and a beautiful, enchanted island that is not what it appears. This is a book that really gets into some pretty intense themes, and the action is as equally delightful.

The Second Piece to the Puzzle

I greatly enjoyed this book and reccomend it to all. In this book, Lief, Barda, And Jasmine continue their underground route to the Shadowlands, They've been told what to expect but are still not sure, until they find what they're looking for, or at least that's what they thought......

Discovering the second piece of the Pirran Pipe

In this book, Lief, Barda, and Jasmine face even more dangers and make more frineds. The first tribe said that this tribe would most likely murder them on site, and bred evil monsters in the sea. None of this is true. While they discover the truth about the island, they are in grave danger. I very much enjoyed this book, and very much recommend it.
