Great product for teachers!

As a teacher I use some of the books in the series to read to my 8th grade History classes. I utilize the books around the units in American History to expand student knowledge of the people or situations we are discussing. I read 4-5 pages everyday and we discuss the information contained in the books. The students gain a much better perspective of what it was like.

Daily Life of the Sioux

Purchased for use with schooling Unitarian-Universalist (liberal religion/spirituality) classes, I find this is an excellent resource. I recommend it for all ages. It has wonderful illustrations and explanations about life before the European-Americans arrived. It also contains a brief explanation about life in the post-invasion period and how Native Americans live in "modern" society. Using everyday language which almost any age can understand, this book goes into a great deal of information about Native American living on the Great Plains of North America.
