A bit encumbered, but

I saw the ABC special (was it Afternoon or Weekend?) two or three times in elementary school. That cut to the good parts, including the relationship between Quacky and Jerry. Actually, this was still a good book, if a bit over-the-top. The notion that sometimes things really do work out, even if they're happenstance, still resonates with me twenty years later.
