Forgiveness: No more confusion, you CAN forgive.

I have given this book I Should Forgive, But¿ to friends and relatives who've struggled with forgiveness. This book is written in such a way that you don't have to read the entire book, but you can go directly to the chapter that deals with the particular confusion you have about forgiveness. For example: there is a chapter that deals with the topic of how can I forgive when I know they will just do it again? The back of the book lists the different dilemmas one may have concerning forgiveness. NOT forgiving someone does not hurt them because they don't feel it 24/7 like the person with the unforgiveness does. NOT forgiving someone keeps us in a state of bitterness that eventually will affect our health and other relationships, directly. I know from personal experience and this book helped me tremendously. I am no longer depressed and sick because of having learned and worked through my own issues with the use of this book. Remember: it only works if you APPLY what it's telling you.

Great lessons on how to forgive

This is a great book. The techniques it recommends were the ones I used years ago when I had someone I needed to forgive.I borrowed the book a while back, and when God brought another situation needing forgiveness in my life, I realized I needed my own copy.A lack of forgiveness leads to bitterness, which is most distructive to the one who NEEDS to forgive, not the one who offended. This book helps the reader forgive so that bitterness is no longer a problem.

Help for troubled souls

After reading it myself (twice), I have bought several copies of this book for friends. Dr. Lynch explains and provides practical suggestions for all the emotional and relational problems surrounding forgiveness -- forgiving others, forgiving yourself, forgiving God; dealing with memories, reconciling, dealing with people who deny they hurt you, etc etc. His approach covers both information useful to you if you need to receive or need to give forgiveness, and information useful to people who are helpers to others, professionally or informally.

Misbeliefs about forgiveness are exposed and dispelled

Dr. Lynch accomplishes an amazing feat in this book. He brings us into his councelling sessions and lets us understand the real-life barriers to forgiveness. This book delivers on its promise to equip us with tools we can use to cleanse ourselves of unforgiveness and avoid the self-destructive results of a life of bitterness. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who needs to be forgiven or needs to forgive.
