Missing DVD, and a portion of page 15/16 was cut out, otherwise great condition. The title or headline says "Book & DVD".

Damaged book missing dvd

We’re the dvd was supposed to be located it was ripped out and the sticky residue tore and destroyed two pages also liquid was spilled in the book it’s not a good buy I’m pretty upset I at least want the dvd I was suppose to get

Human Body DK book

I am a home-schooling mom, so I bought this to help teach my children about their bodies and how things work together. I have children from three to eleven, and oll of them have loved this book. It has sparked many discussions from why things are a certain way to why we don't look the way some of the pictures do when they are showing our insides. They have taken this book in their free time to look at things and read some of the interesting facts. I have been able to easily prepare my children for a further study of the human body by using this book.

When anyone has a question about the human body, my children always refer to this book.

It takes lots of ignorance to ask "we came from monkeys?"

You know, to be honest, I bought this book only because of the review below "we came from monkeys? That's not what my bible says!" I'm SO GLAD that there are books that state scientific facts other than simply what "bible says". I cannot imagine that in this day and age there are people who still believe that we were created by someone. This statement doesn't give any definitive answer at all, since any reasonable person would immediately ask, "then who created Him who created us?" This book would be a good gift for a child age 11-13. It doesn't give too graphic or detailed explanation of the bodily functions, yet it has many colorful pictures and SEM shots (Scanning Electron Micrograph) that are truly magnificent.

Great for my kids! Helps to explain the basics in the structure of the human body with a great deal of fun. Highly recommended!

A wonderful teaching tool!

As a high school health teacher, I am always looking for a quality text to utilize in my classroom. This book is just that. The pictures are clear and free from confusion. The text is concise and easily understood. I recommend this to parents and teachers alike. Even my brother in medical school uses a copy. It is useful for all ages.
