A picturebook with a valuable lesson that all school-age children need to learn

Part of the Howard B. Wigglebottom series about an anthropomorphic rabbit child, Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns About Bullies is a rhyming children's picturebook with a simple but important, repeatedly restated message about bullies: "Be Brave, be Bold, a teacher must be told." Young Howard is being harassed by bullies; they won't stop picking on him no matter what plans he imagines - the only way to end the bullying is to inform adults who can do something about it! Highly recommended as a picturebook with a valuable lesson that all school-age children need to learn.

Howard B.Willgebottom Learns About Bullies

"this is a very important book to teach children at an early age how to protect themselves.I highly recommend it.

A must buy!

My son really got the message! I plan on sharing it with all of the parents in his play group. This book is a must have!

Great Topic! Beautifully Done!

A very needed subject that helps children at the right age to share with a teacher when problems with bullies occur. Delivered in a very funny and effective way.

When in doubt, feel free to shout

First Howard learned to listen Then he listened to his heart Now he's facing nasty bullies And not feeling very smart No matter what he said or did He'd always lose his lunch To bullies like the Snorton Twins Who loved to rabbit punch He didn't want to rat them out He was afraid to tell But every day they'd beat him up And make his life a hell He wished he'd turn invisible Or fly above the trees Transform into an Autobot Or even try to please But nothing worked until at last He'd simply had enough He knew just what he had to do Before things got too rough I'd get this book for younger kids Now starting off to school So if they're faced with bullying They'll use the "Howard" Rule The illustrations are divine They tell the tale so clearly This is a book that kids should read And I say this sincerely Amanda Richards, November 1, 2008
