How to Draw Getting started

Gostei das imagens e dicas é um bom livro para quem quer aprender a arte dos quadrinhos ao estilo marvel

The Artists Companion

Having read several "How To Draw" books this one came as a surprise to me. Naturally one would think it would be filled with lectures but the artists put things simply, like they're explaining their art in a lesson. Not to mention how many different artists there are, there has to be about 30! And the book is simply filled to the brim with slick Marvel art, different styles and different views. I'm an artist and whenever I'm in a bind I take out this book to give me some new ideas and guide.

a must have for any aspiring artist!!!

For beginners and even for those who have been doing this for a while and looking for something new. What ever lever your act there's something here for everyone. This book puts together a bunch of older books, that are now sold out and/or hard to find and jams them into one. There's are many books on how to draw comics... but this book kind of keeps that in mind, as it take you trough the basics and gives you tips and direction on how to go from beginner to pro. I love the way this book also teaches and re-teaches things over and over again, from different artist and different points of views. That stress's the fact that there's more then one way to do things, and even more you to experiment what works for you and find your own way. Do what works for you. I've read the DC series on how to draw and write comics and I loved them. But each book was mostly written by one guy. I also felt they needed more picture reference, actually what I mean is it needed more varied examples done by different artist in different stiles. Too better help the beginner artist who is still figuring out what style he wants to work in. Like I said there are many great books out there on how to draw, and in fact, one should seek them out even after reading this book. No one book will completely teach you everything that goes into making a comic book. Hell each individual section of this book can be extended into a book of it's own if one wished. What I'm trying to say is this book isn't the be all, end all of how to draw and create comics. It just acts a guide to point you in the right direction in your own pursuit to becoming a comic book artist by giving you valuable information you can't get anywhere else, by the guy's who's been doing it for years. It's like they purposely try to share not only what they learned as pros, but also share with you information they know you won't find in other book, because they themselves have read them all. That's why they are pros! So if you what make it as a comic book artist you should do they same. Later...
