Something missing in this one

Somewhat disappointed by comparison to her other books. Too much nostalgia. I expected more emotional drama at the end when the killer was exposed. Don't want Kate to continue on the same path.

She NEVER Disappoints!!

I just love her style of writing! I am captivated from the get go! She's just a masterful weaver of tales. I've read the entire Police Chief Kate Burkholder series and so disappointed at the end knowing I'll have to wait another year for the next one. I've tried a few other authors but I do not find the consistency and intrigue that I find in Linda Castillo's novels.
