Tara Leigh Cobble is one of the few Christian authors I have read lately who can succesfully encourage and challenge readers without sacrificing her personality and sense of enjoyment. Funny tales of adolescence, painful romantic disappointments, and the idiosyncratic lifestyle of a touring musician all seem to compliment and feed into one another- cultivating a story that is as rich, personal, and honest as the author's music. This book is a find; something meaningful that you will finish eagerly and remember with joy.
this is what devotion looks like

I enjoyed this more than a lot of other books I've read in recent past. Not because it's the most well-written piece of material in the known universe...but because it's real. No hype, no fluffy marketing, no promises to change your world in the preface, introduction or endorsements...it's just the story of a girl who can't NOT do what God has put in her heart to do, and it's really good. It's clear from her transparent style that it's not always easy, and she doesn't always love every single second of it...but there's an underlying and overpowering driving force that compels her onward, and that's where her joy is found. I highly recommend this little read to anyone who wants to curl up with a book that will let you explore the possibility of abandoning all for the sake of the "one thing" God has planted in your heart. And while you're at it, it will give you a new-found appreciation for all those "starving artists" who roam the highways and rest stops outlining the U.S. of A.
A gorgeous book with heartfelt passion

Tara Leigh Cobble's book is profound. Enlightening, uplifting and honest, Cobble does nothing other than speak from her heart. A book with soul and darkness in all the right places, Here's to Hindsight is a beauty. The book is not only exceptionally written with bright and glorious stories that simultaneously warm and cool the heart, but Cobble's approach to writing is what proves so appealing. After reading, I felt not only satisfied, but also encouraged by and painfully aware of the human condition. Thank you, Tara Leigh.
True

I bought this book last night at a local concert and the truth inside had me finishing this breath of fresh air today. Tara Leigh's honest, authentic, look at her own life brings joy and laughter to your soul and pushes you to think about what is real and true in life....and to move in that direction. To Tara: Thanks for baring your soul, and enlarging mine in the process. p.s. Bolivia is not that far :)
