This is a book, useful for home study

BROADWAY MUSICALS is best at delineating the changing shape of American 20th-Century musicals (and their predecessors, vaudeville and revues). It is not merely an overview of the people behind the changes, but is good at discussing the technical changes at work. I wish my book had included a CD of included music.
