He uses the original Biblical references and builds on each one from the foundation, challenging us to look at them with a fresh eye and open mind. He has a firm grasp on the "present tense" of Christian Salvation and his theology is applied in a popular manner. He describes the purpose of the parables as 1. To Sow Seed. 2. To safeguard the Secrets of God. 3. To highlight the sovereignty of God. 4. To survey the teaching of Salvation. 5. To reveal the Spirit of God. It is written in a fresh and appealing style and you can look at just one of the parables or do a whole study on parables. I found it to be well presented and laid out in an attractive book. R. T. Kendall spend 25 years pastoring the historic Westminister Chapel in London England. He has written numerous books and is currently ministering throughout North America as part of the Word, Spirit and Power team.
