Item arrived in excellent condition and was worth the purchase. It helped us on our trip quite a bit, as the information was helpful. Thanks to the seller. The following comments are for Frommer:As always, sometimes the prices where a little off, on both sides, sometimes they where a little higher and sometime a little lower. I would recommend to Frommer to research options for getting to and from the hotel in Cancun as when we arrived at the airport this June 2010 you have many taxi options to get to your hotel. And all the services are barking out their services. Options such as riding in a shared van that drop off passengers at different hotels vs. getting an individual taxi are a better option, and how to get around the hotel via the local air conditioned tourist bus vs. the hotel taxi is an option that will save the tourist a lot of money for trip activities. Also using the local ADO bus instead of a bus tour will also save a lot of money.

No matter what your budget, this little gem has advice for you. It also offers valuable advice on its own website along with blogs and traveler's experiences. Fodor's Cancun is updated yearly to keep us travelers informed with the latest details to plan that perfect vacation. I would also highly recommend Frommer's Cancun & the Yucatan Day by Day (Frommer's Day by Day - Pocket) as a pocket guide for your day-to-day planning.

Don't leave home without it!

Just back from three weeks in the Yucatan (and I had a wonderful time!), and found this to be a reliable guide. The rating system is dependable, the maps helpful, and for the most part the info is up to date. I will say this, you might consider more than one guide book as all of them seem to have some deficiencies. This would be most important for the independent traveler and the traveler who is planning to get away from the major resorts. You might also consider buying good maps. This book, and "A Tourist In The Yucatan" (Great thriller!) made my vacation truly unforgettable!
