Just the "sip" I needed at the right time!

What a great book to use to begin a new year! Thanks to a friend who gave this to me for Christmas this year, I am now on my way out of that glum winter depression that always hits after the holidays. I also realize I've been neglecting areas of my life and spirit, and this practical, well-written guide is cheering me on to a more fulfilled life of the spirit. The author clearly knows how to speak to Christian women who are also "thinking women" in all walks of life. Her reading and movie suggestions are also right on target for her audience. What a gift to read this. I am buying copies for my women friends.

A MUST READ & TERRIFIC GIFT IDEA!

I was impressed by Nicole Johnson's terrific sense of humor at the Women of Faith Conference last year and wanted to get a better idea of her perspective of life, so I bought this book and a journal. The only thing that disappointed me about the book was that I let in sit on the shelf too long before I made the time to read it! After that, I read it from cover to cover. I am now buying several more to give to friends as gifts with a big coffee mug and a bag of Starbucks coffee beans -- enjoy a fresh brewed life and read this one!

My cup has been refreshed!

I have really enjoyed my time reading this book and learning how to journal. We took it and made a "9 cup" weekly Bible Study from it. We use her video along with her book too. It is so helpful to have a visual to go along with the book, and to watch Nicole speak, she is so cute! She uses drama to get her point across. It is the Fresh-Brewed Life for sure. The Lord has more for our lives and He is is the only one that can surely cause your cup to over flow.....grab yourself a cup of fresh brewed coffee and settle in and read this book-it will be worth your time.It is life changing.

Fresh-brewed life: a new way of living out Christ in me

Being a Christian all my life, I never realized that there is so much more than saying that little prayer to ask Jesus into my heart. We seem to get content in our "salvation", forgetting to ask God what He desires in our lives. Nicole reveals how to discover the true life God wants for us. To be free in Him, able to take on all life gives for His glory. I have 3 kids under age 6. My worth and effectiveness was diminishing to how clean my surroundings were. This book taught me that we all have a great purpose and only God can make it happen. Learning to confide my thoughts to God and keeping a journal has been a great reward for me. I have read and re-read each chapter in the book several times. Each bringing new light on my heart's condition. Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your cup of life with us.

wake-up your soul

as a college student, i have developed a coffee-fetish and"fresh-brewed life" caught my eye at the bookstore immediately. i am a journaler, but this book made me soo excited to write in my journal reminding me that i "must make a life WORTH recording." ms. johnson's words have encouraged me to seek the Lord's love with passion and to allow myself to be satisfied with His invigorating love rather than finding my contentment and satisfaction in consuming things. i loved the directed journaling and the inspiring quotes. i was sad when i finished the book but i'm excited to reread it and the notes i took while reading. i have felt so renewed. :)
