Exemplary Biography

Bondanella's biography of Francesco Guicciardini provides an exemplary review of the great historian's life and an excellent summary of his major works including The History of Italy and i Ricordi. As a good friend of Count Francesco Guicciardini, I know he too is impressed with Professor Bondanella's research into the life of his famous ancestor. The comparisons of Guicciardini and Machiavelli were particularly interesting. Bravo
