Entertaining, wry look at the Mac's brittle past

Journalists Steve Clarke & Roy Carr are masters of the dry epigram. The music itself is analyzed for both formal & cultural significance in entertainingly succinct & hip pronouncements. Photos abound, including a nice color section at the front. (Captions occasionally mislead, however.)Steve Clarke's work here far surpasses his later book on the band ("Fleetwood Mac" [1984]), which was derivative, repetitive, inaccurate & poorly edited."Rumours 'N' Fax" is now out of print, but occasional copies can still be had from eBay & other online sources.
