Flashback

This is the first time I have read a book by Cait London it was beyond fantastic. I was drawn into the characters of Rachel and Kyle and the mystery surrounding the death of Rachels sister Mallory. Cait did an amazing job holding my attention thru out the entire book and I loved the hot romance of Kyle and Rachel. Loved that Rachel was written strong as well as Kyle yet there was a love that was blooming between the two among the animosity early on. I will buy another one of her books soon

Romantic Suspense Done Right!

Rachel Everly has never thought much of Kyle Scanlon, and he has always seemed to go out of his way to prove her every bad thought. He'd come to town years ago and taken up with Mallory, Rachel's sister. A relationship that seemed to do nothing but bring heartache to Mallory and lead her down a road that eventually ended in her death. Now Rachel has returned to find out exactly who or what caused her sister's death. Everything seems to point to Kyle, but the more time that Rachel spends with him the more she realizes that there are sides to Kyle that he has never let her see. As they begin a relationship Rachel continues to investigate Mallory's death. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes. Can Kyle protect Mallory from an unseen killer who will do whatever it takes to keep his dirty secrets hidden? Flashback is an excellent example of romantic suspense done right. The sexual tension between Kyle and Rachel is obvious from the beginning. I quickly became involved not only in their developing romance, but also in the mystery surrounding Mallory's death. I have been fan of Cait London since her early Silhouette days. I look forward to what Ms. London has in store for the future. Flashback packs a punch! Melissa Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

tense romantic suspense thriller

Rachel Everly returns to her home town, Neptune's Landing to learn why her sister, Mallory, committed suicide. Rachel wonders if Kyle Scanlon is the underlying reason as the hunk has tempted every female in town from the moment he opened up his mechanic shop. Rachel is surprised to find out that her sister left her with her pride and joy the Nine Ball family pool hall. Because she feels guilty for not being there for her sibling, Rachel plans to honor Mallory by turning the place into a thriving business. She moves into Mallory's small apartment above the pool hall, but finds the place haunting as she constantly yells (a bit overdone) why at every hint of Mallory's presence, which is everywhere, and starts to locate clues of the source that propelled her sister to apparently kill her self. Clues to the evil that controlled Mallory until her death was her only relief from her dark side; Rachel is next if she fails to interpret what she truly inherited from her sibling. FLASHBACK is a tense romantic suspense thriller starring two combatants falling in love while the heroine wonders if her beloved led her sister to the dark side. The war between the lead couple is fun to follow, but the key to the exciting story line remains Rachel's efforts to learn what drove her sibling to suicide. As readers ponder why also, only Kyle can keep Rachel from repeating her sister's mistakes, but she must trust him to be her champion; a difficult undertaking when you deem him unworthy of her and most likely in her estimation the cause. Great read!

Rachel Everly has always been a go-getter. She can do anything she puts her mind to. Now she returns to her small home town, Neptune's Landing, to find out why her sister, Mallory, killed herself. During the last few years of Mallory's life she had been distancing herself from her family and friends. Rachel wants to believe that sexy Kyle Scanlon is the reason. Ever since Kyle came into town years ago and opened his mechanic shop he has managed to rile Rachel's temper. He has not lost that irritating ability either. Rachel is surprised when she inherits Nine Ball, the pool hall with a family atmosphere and no alcohol. It had been Mallory's pride and joy. Rachel is determined to keep it open and turning a profit, just as Mallory wished. Rachel moved into the small apartment above the pool hall and began settling in. Rachel soon begins finding items that Mallory had cleverly hidden in the apartment. They are startling clues that reveal a dark presence that had surrounded Mallory for years, controlled her, tormented her. Rachel must use her wits to figure out what Mallory is trying to tell her, before the dark presence comes forward to claim her too. **** Author Cait London has become well known for her special gift of pulling readers quickly into a story. Once you begin this suspense novel you will not even WANT to resist! My only pet peeve with this story is that Rachel yells aloud at Mallory's felt presence too often. The two main characters, Rachel and Kyle, are a pleasure to watch clash. I never knew which one would win or what would happen next. ****Reviewed by Detra Fitch of Huntress Reviews.
