My Favorite Childhood Book

This was the first book I read, from the school library, in first grade. I loved spending time on my grandparent's farm when possible and would daydream, during class, about being there. Eddie going to a ranch and all his adventures gave me new things to daydream about, learn, and in a way connect with another child. My Mom would laugh at how often I checked out the book my elementary years. This was a good story for me because I was shy and Eddie going through so much, alone, and being strong, I connected with him. I'd recommend this for children who are shy, love animals, the outdoors, even trains.
