A good story

This is a collaborative effort of 3 talented writers who write about 3 adopted triplets. I am not sure which writer wrote the Prologue, but it was so impressive that I just knew that I was in for a good and exciting ride to a wonderful story. The Prologue had me almost in tears because it was so surreal, sad and realistic that I knew I should enjoy this ride. Each sister is so different, and they all had a hard time trying to find each other because their lives all took on a different turn, but they all believe that they would be reunited again. Donna Hill who focuses on Leticia was very good. Leticia was a survivor who believed that she must get everything she can because if not she would be left with nothing. Her life has an escort allowed her the many joys of fine things and money, but she fell short on commitments and friendships. She suffered from a low self-esteem until she found a man who could love her for who she is. Parry Brown focused on Jamilla was unimpressive. She rushed her story and I found it lackluster. Jamilla was so different from the others in her life of privilege and low self-esteem. She seems so out of touch with reality. Gwynne Forster focused on Clarissa. Clarissa was the most down to earth of the sisters and her troubles was much harder to survive but she found a strong sense of esteem and pushed herself to achieve. Her background was so cruel and how she managed to be married to Josh for 15 years with nothing, but heartache was hard to deal with, but she learned that God does not like ugly and he made that lousy husband of hers (Josh) reap exactly what he deserved. With Talent and perseverance and the best connection, she rose straight to the top and found the love of her life. The sisters learned that together from all the mistakes and good fortune that nothing was going to stop their happiness in the future. This is a good life lesson.

Destiny's Daughters

I enjoyed the different lives that each triplet lead. I also liked how they all were searching for one another and didn't give up.

Destiny's Daughters by Donna Hill, Parry"EbonySatin" Brown, & Gwynne Forster: An PeoplewholoveGoodBo

Destiny's Daughters is a collection of stories by 3 of today's best contemporary authors: Donna Hill, Parry "EbonySatin" Brown, and Gwynne Forster. The story is about 3 sisters: Leticia, Clarissa, and Jamilla. They were separated from each other when they were only a few weeks old, and despite everything they have been through, never gave up on finding each other. Donna Hill's story "More Than This" is about Leticia. Leticia has had a hard knock life and learned at an early age to use her good looks and body to get what she wants. After learning a raid is about to put an end to her successful call-girl business, she closes shop, changes her identity, and takes a trip to Miami. While there she gets more than she bargained after meeting Nathan, a man she finds herself falling for but after an old trick resurfaces, she must once again move on. After seeing a woman who closely resembles her on TV, she decides to go to the show to see if her long search is finally over. Parry "EbonySatin" Brown's story "Life's Little Mysteries" is about Jamilla. Jamilla was the luckiest of the 3 as she was adopted by a good family and treated to the best of life. However after learning on her 13th birthday that she was adopted and part of a set of triplets, she begins to dream of finding her sisters and it begins to consume her life. Despite her success, Jamilla can't let go and after the private detective she hired comes up with a lead that turns out to be false, Jamilla finds herself on the verge of a nervous breakdown as she has become so obsessed with finding her sisters that it's beginning to cost her everything. One night while watching TV, she too sees a jazz singer with a face just like hers. Gwynne Forster's story, The Journey is about Clarissa. After marrying at 18 to escape her foster family, Clarissa wakes up one day to and realizes how much of her life she has wasted and kicks out her cheating husband. Determined to follow her dreams and become a singer, she begins to find success after recording a demo and working in clubs. Of course, as quickly as her success begins, it all begins to fall apart but she too has had a sense of longing and wonders what happened to her long-lost sisters until they show up on her doorstep. Destiny's Daughters is a wonderful collection of stories that will grab your attention as you can't wait to see what happens to Leticia, Clarissa, and Jamilla. You will enjoy each story and root for them as they not only find themselves but each other as well. I give this book 4 stars! Reviewed by Shay C of PeoplewholoveGoodBooks
