Obscene tale of pinhead lesbians

A god-fearing Baptist friend of mine recommended this tome to me as one featuring strong and capable women, but it's nothing but a collection of warped lesbian scenarios wrapped around a flimsy plot about drugs and archaeology--nothing fit for the Christian soul in the least! The authoress ranks among the infamous Shirley Humpwater as a perpetrator of vile indeceny.

Nice compact story

Like most Naiad books, this one isn't very long, but Harris does an excellent job of telling her story, packing it with tension and excitement, just enough spice, and not drowning her characters in useless words. Delia Ironfoot is a part Native American, former archeologist, with a troubled past that has caused her to retreat from most of the world. Enter Beth, a stock broker from Chicago, who insists she wants a guide to go backpacking, but can't hide the fact that she has another reason for this trip. As they get to know each other, their relationship develops only to be threatened by circumstances they had no idea existed. This is a nice, neat little book. Enjoyable reading for an evening.

Delia Ironfoot

I absolutely loved this book. I really liked Black Iris (Jeane Harris' other book), but this one could be a series. Delia Ironfoot is like a woman Indiana Jones. Jeane Harris is the bomb.
