Loved these sets

I absolutly love these books i'm reading them for the third time since fall 2001

Fantasy Candy

I always enjoy Sharon's work, with the Blending/Enthroned being my favorites. But I will admit that I concider them to be like candy, fun while they are in front of you, but not really leaving a long aftertaste once they're done.I can tell that Sharon has some final goal that our Seated Blending needs to reach, and my curiosity about that goal keeps me reading. I have noticed that she has started using archetypes for her villians, and in some places it has become repeatative...not that I mind too much...candy, remember...The nobles working off their sentences are some of my favorite new characters, and I am really awaiting the next one (which comes out in time for my b'day ;-) ).If you're looking for a seious delving into epic fantasy, you're better off looking elsewhere. But if you want a fun romp, with interesting characters, and a fascinating magic system, I think you'll be pleased with the Blending/Blending Enthroned.

Ok, so a lot of the people rating this book had problems. This is like one of the best books there is, and anyone that disagrees can't be very bright. Anyways . . . This book is the second book of the Blending Enthroned, the second series about Tamrissa (Fire Magic) Jovvi (Spirt Magic) Vallant (Water Magic) Lorand (Earth Magic) Rion (Air Magic) and Naran (Sight Magic). They're the ruling Sixfold Blending, and have traveled to a neighbering empire (Gracely). At the end of the last book, they had just been told, along with the rulers of Gracely, that the land had been invaded with people that are unafected by talent. This poses a problem . . . So along with people of their own kingdom trying to take over, people in Gracely trying to kill them, they have a new, unknown horror to deal with. Because if this strange race conquers Gracely, the neck empire they'll be after will be Gandistra . . . The Sixfolds own home, which they'll defend at any cost.

Great series, on par with some of the best fantasy authors

This is another great book in the Blending series. Sharon Green takes 6 main characters, adds in the enemies personalities, and gives you a real taste for their world, their society and how its run. She obviously put a lot of thought into the world's setting and the details make the story for me. She switches back and forth from the main characters to things going on in the capital to the neighboring countries/nations and makes it look fairly easy too. These characters really show the complications of life and what is involved in running a city, country and the politics of situations. I highly recommend you start with the first book and work your way through. I'm rereading them all for the second time and just thoroughly enjoying them. The characters are rich and distinctive and the author has really done a great job drawing the reader in.

I Loved It!!

I enjoy all of Sharon Green's books about the Blending. I happened to stumble across her books by accident. A friend gave me the first one (Book One of the Blending) and I was hooked from there on. Sure there are some parts that could be better, but aren't all books like that in one way or another. I agree that a map of the world would help lots and headings of chapters as to where things are taking place. All in all I loved it, but judge for yourself.
