Sad but true...

After knowing something about some of the people in this book I think there is a lot missing. There should be more information on the Lenz's, especially Emily and her mother? Were they completely Innocent in this case or was John pushed over the edge? [Not that any one deserved to be tortured or killed]

A really good read...........

I am an avid reader of true crime and I must say this is one of the best. It is well written and the author leaves no stone unturned to let the reader know exactly what John Weber was all about. I just don't understand how his family didn't do more for him? If my brother stole my underwear and wrote perverted letters to me, I would have ran out of my house so fast I would have left a skid marks. I wouldn't have stayed around to hear him talk to himself, that's for sure. And I don't get his wife. Besides the fact that he looked like a baby with a beard, his bedwetting would have been enough for me to hit the road. I can't believe that this weird little deviant wasn't throwing off "I'm a nut" signals to anyone. The description of the way he killed Carla will leave the reader sickened. Not for the fainthearted that's for sure.

A true and horrible crime that took place almost next door!

This was definately an interesting book. Its sad that it is a true story and from my home town yet. I think this book is a fast read and hard to put down. You shut your eyes and you dont want to think that this really did happen to Carla and her sister Emily.

Bizarre and Riveting

I read this book about a year ago, but can still recall pretty vividly the story. It was a very good book to read. It is just down-right scary, though that these kinds of things truly do happen. John Weber is a true-life nutcase! After reading this book, you will forever wonder what kind of people live in this world that we see on a daily basis.
