I love reading about history and talking about 'The 50 Defining Events of World History' was great fun. The author explains that many may disagree, but he did a good job. The one event I would include is the Babylonian Exile of the ancient Jewish people. When they returned, they became faithful to their Jewish faith and from that faithfulness came Christianity etc.
