Very helpful

We found this book to be very helpful as we planned hikes in the Smokies. It is not the newest edition, but really all that is updated (according to a Smoky Mountain Visitor Center employee) in the new one is the cover. Our book was in excellent shape.

Just enough detail.

This book has just enough detail to let you know whether or not the hike described is for you. I plan to do several of the hikes in less than a month and I am now armed with some valuable information about legnth of the hikes and things to look for. Plus its pocket size.
