paranomal romance

Brenda Joyce's Dark seduction is one of the best romance books i have read in awhile. set in the past in and partualy in the feuture. is a wonderful mix of romance with the brutal reality of the past. i will continue to read books from this auther to see what she will come up with next.

One of the Best

Love the Highlanders and time travel too, all in one fantastic story. My first for Brenda Joyce , but not my last thats for sure. Fell in love with both main characters. Looking forward to the next book. Hoping one of them will be about Adian. I read books constanly and love all books about Scotland and Highlanders, this time Time Travel will be on my list. This good versus evil was a page turner. Keep up the stories Ms Joyce. Write them and we will come!!

Super Series

I read Book II prior to this - better to read in order. Brenda Joyce is an excellent author - her writing style really pulls you in and makes you feel as if you are there with the characters. Great read if you enjoy Diana Gabaldon or Linda Lael Miller.

Dark Seduction one of the best books I've read in 2007

Claire Camden is a single, successful, business woman living in New York. She is afraid of the dark and keeps herself safely locked away behind a state of the art security system. She is haunted by the deaths of her mother and cousin, and lives with the grim reality that the world can be a very ugly place. That reality is brutally reinforced when late one night, Claire is assaulted by a woman with tremendous strength. Later, when an impossibly tall and well muscled warrior shows up, she knows that her life will never be the same again. Malcolm of Dunroch is a newly chosen Master, imbued with extraordinary powers that he has yet to gain complete control of. He is sent forward through time to prevent an important piece of paper from falling into the wrong hands. He never imagines meeting a terrified, yet spirited young woman who will change everything. A woman is a distraction that Malcolm does not need, however, he finds that he is inexplicably drawn to her and before he knows it, they are hurtling to the past. Brenda Joyce has created a gripping and seductive world with powerfully alluring warriors. Her wonderfully evocative prose compels you to keep turning the pages until you find out all of the answers the story entails. The Masters of Time are some of the most intriguing and delicious heroes to grace the pages of a book. I found myself falling for every single one of them! Not even Sherrilyn Kenyon's fabulous Dark Hunters had the ability to do that (and I adore them)! Dark Seduction is the beginning of Ms. Joyce's Masters of Time series, this book is her introduction into the paranormal genre. There are strong paranormal elements, however, her breathtaking historical voice is in top form here so readers of both genres should enjoy this immensely. As with much of her work there is also a strong sexual element. The warriors exude sexuality from every pore and women definitely feel the pull of their sensual magnetism. The sex is sizzling and frequent and when it's not, there is an undercurrent of tension that is very palpable between the protagonists. If you have a problem with this, I would suggest you read something tamer. For those of you with weak stomachs, there are also graphic scenes of violence complete with severed limbs. The Masters world is dark and deadly with a constant threat of malevolent presences. Ms. Joyce weaves a taut tale where you never feel completely safe, while also providing well fleshed out characters each with their own complicated back stories. I cannot wait to delve into Royce, Aidan and The MacNeil's tales. If they are anything like Claire and Malcolm's, I know that I will be more than satisfied.

loves paranormal romance

This was my first introduction to a Brenda Joyce novel and for ms. Joyce this was her first published book into paranormal romance. I thought it was a great first book into the genre. I loved the world she brought us into. if you love time travel, historicals and the highlands, not to mention the warriors, good vs evil as well as the characters she introduced us to Claire a New York City book seller and an almost 500 year old Malcolm of Dunrock - with powers, then this book is for you!All the paranomal romance lover's out there should give it a try. In my opinion some of the reviews of this book may have been poor because the fans of Brenda Joyce loved the way she had written her historicals ,and, might not be fans of the paranormal, but, because they are fans they gave it a try. The genre isn't for everyone. Well, done Ms. Joyce.
