I have been a Law enforcement Officer for the better part of thirteen years, and much of what is in this book I have learned from trial and error (no pun intended). Still there is plenty of useful information for veteran officers, and is a must read for less experienced officers who have yet to be raked over the coals in a courtroom. Devallis Rutledge writes the book as if he is talking with you one on one, and makes the book enjoyable to read. I recommend it highly.
