A slim book with a big voice!

I cried, smiled, and prayed through this book... and then I bought copies for those in my life who celebrate women in the church! The collection of 100+ meditations by different clergywomen reflects the diversity of women in ministry. Each meditation (a prayer, poem, song, story, etc) is 1-2 pages and stands on its own. Some of the submissions are litanies to be used in worship. ALL of the submissions can be springboards for prayer and reflection. The book is written by United Methodist clergywomen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of full clergy rights for women (in the UMC). However, I would recommend this book to Christians of any denomination. I found it especially valuable for women in (or considering) the ministry --- but it is designed for anyone, not just female pastors. Whether you are lay or clergy, male or female, this book can help you hear (over the din of historical Christian patriarchy) the voices of women in the Church.
