Clem, the Story of a Raven

If you love true stories about wild animals, you'll love this book. This story is the true telling by Owings Dewey about a baby raven that she and her husband rescued and then raised. She relates all the endearing antics of Clem in a way that educates, entertains and ultimately makes you fall in love with this intelligent, sometimes comical little bird. The book highlights the relationship the author has with Clem, and the relationship that develops between the author's newborn daughter and Clem as they both grow over the course of a couple of years. The author also shows how her relationship with Clem had to change inorder to ensure his survival. The ending of the story is bittersweet and powerful. The book made me wish I had known Clem personally, I can't seem to get him off my mind.
