Grfeat Ending To A Fantastic Series!!!!

The Great and Terrible Vol. 6: Clear As The Moon by Chris Stewart This last installment was just as mesmerizing as the prior two books in the series, but did feel this one was rushed just a tad bit. I could figure out who "the old man" was, even with it being disappointing, but that happens sometimes. I really liked how the Special Op Team lead by Sam and Bono really had a masterful, ingenious plan for getting King Abdullah out without killing him. These books really give us a shake-up in being prepared for the Last Days. We need to be strong, faithful and endure to the end, as our Constitution is hanging by a thread and our Country is the only Country that can save the World. With Sam, Bono, Sara, Ammon, Luke, Azadeh, Caelyn and Ellie working to uphold our freedoms and Our Constitution, America can be strong. This is the best Last Days series I've ever read!!!

Chris Stewart Delivers the Goods

A few years ago I was at the library looking for something new to read. I was looking for something entertaining in the LDS section and came across an interesting book called "The Brothers: A Prologue" What fascinated me about this book was that it was entirely written in the pre-mortal life. I've never read anything like that and picked it up. There were two sections that were not framed in the pre-mortal life. The story opens up with a funeral at Arlington Cemetery. It doesn't say who's funeral it is but I figured I would find out eventually. The ending of the story was a preface for the following book, where the story takes place here on Earth. I liked the first book but it seemed somewhat, well, simple in presentation. I gave Chris Stewart for writing something original but had actually planned on stopping with that book since the story had already reached its climax and the only question left open was "Who's funeral is it?" But then I reflected on that opening scene in the book, the funeral. I remembered how powerful it was, how emotional it was, how moving it was, and how un-simple it was. It seriously almost brought me to tears. So I decided that maybe he would do it again with his story. So I have read the rest of the series. And I'm glad I did... what a phenomenal story and engrossing story! When others ask what the series is about the easiest way to sum it up is like this: A Mormon Tom Clancy. Chris Stewart seems to have a good understanding of government and military protocol and has put together something that is both scary and thought-provoking. Could any of this really happen? Unlikely, but it still scares the living daylights out of me. There are basically three plots in this book. Bono is still with his wife and daughter though little excitement actually happens during this time. It seemed like it did little besides flush out the characters a little bit more. Sarah is working with the Secretary of Defense to try and save the country. And finally the character I like the most, Samuel, has his story to tell and the military operation he must lead in order to save the world. The stories of Luke and Ammon are brief but if this series were to continue I would hope beyond hope that it is Luke and Ammon's story. I would love to see how their plot is developed from where things left off! All in all, it is a great and complex story that blew my mind. The ending is very satisfying and the epilogue is the best part of the book (I read this with two family members, we all loved the epilogue). If you've liked the other five books there is no reason to stop now. If you haven't read the other five I would suggest starting there because none of these books can really stand on their own.

This book like the first 5 books in this series was wonderfully written. I could not lay the book down. It is interesting, exciting, and touches your heart. It was if I was a part of the story. Chris Steward is one of the best authors I have ever had the pleasure to read. It rates as highly in my opinion as " The Asryrian and Blood Star." By Nicholas Guild. I never believed I could any book as good as Guilds books. But all books in this series are as good if not better. I look forward to the next book that Chris Stewart writes.

Outstanding series culminated in this exceptional final volume. Great story. Very thought-provoking. Suspenseful and well-written.

Great finale, inspires hope for the future.

Having read the first 5 in the series, I was anxiously waiting for number 6. It started out a bit slow, but made up for it later on. The ending of the series was different than I expected, but well done nonetheless. I will miss the characters. I wish Chris Stewart was continuing on with the story, as I feel there is more to be told. But I understand his ending it where he did. It was a great ride anyway. Very interesting perspectives on things. Even though I am sad to see it end, the finale invites the reading to feel hopeful about the future because of the good people who still exist in this world. Great series...great ending.
