I loved this book!!!

WOW, what a great book! I loved it. I loved EVERYTHING. The Drama. I like reading about that stuff. Girl stuff. Cliques are a part of life. If you haven't experienced it yet and you haven't read about it, then what are you going to do when it comes to you? I want to know more about what happens to Cat. I hope that she and Cassidy end up meeting another group of friends or go to another Milo concert together. I also hope that Shana gets nicer than she was in the book. And I hope that Cat gets together with Greg Twitchell. It's totally meant to be! I LOVE this book! --Molly M., age 11

The Problem When You only have one friend

The Cat On the Hottie's Tin Roof by Shelly Swanson Sateren is a really good book. I like the way Shelly Swanson Sateren describes the actions and the way the character deals with her problems. The main character is a girl named Catherine her nickname is Cat. Cat meets a girl at the super market named Cassidy who is going to be the new student in Cats school. When Cat talked to Cassidy they became acquainted . Cat made conversation and then Cassidy invited Cat over. Cat went over to Cassidy's house. Then they became friends but trouble starts when her new friend Cassidy meets a girl that Cat doesn't like at all. She doesn't want her new friend to know her. Cat doesn't want Cassidy to know the mean girl in girl named Shana, that she is a nerd because she always gets A's on her papers and so then all three of them start hanging out. Shana Secretly knows Cat is a nerd. Shana simply hates Cat so that is a definite dilemma right there. The mood of the story is kind of sad yet funny. Cat learns to be funny and not to be a nerd. What interested me in this book was the way Cat describes how she feels. I would say ages 11 and up because it talks about middle school girls younger kids might not understand so if I were talking to a person who is 11 years and younger I would say that they would not understand this book at all. My only problem is that the author does not talk about the rest her family she only mentions Cat and her friends. The Genre is definitely humor and drama. The author's style of writing is humorous and she tries to get you to laugh. Another part of the story is Cat's other best friend goes to France. Most of the places they are usually at are school, Cat's house, Cassidy's house and Shana's house. All three of the girls I have told you about are going to sneak into a hotel to try to meet a band.
