Yay! Yue is sooooooo cute!

Hiya! I'm an otaku-girl living in the U.K, where it's DAMN difficult to get manga! I wish I lived in the U.S,waaah! But anyway, I get all my essentials imported, so it's not too bad! Enough about me, let's talk about Cardcaptor Sakura! I didn't actually buy the manga, I reserved it from the library! Infact as I'm writing this, it's only been the second day since then! I LOVED it! I recommend it to everyone who loves art from CLAMP, and the previous series of Cardcaptor Sakura! The art is just BEAUTIFUL, the story is great and you'll just want to read it all over again once you've finished! Here are some of my favourite scenes: 1. When Li blushes when Sakura says she can't wait for the day he'll come back to visit from HongKong. 2.When Eriol and Li have an encounter over him holding Sakura's hand. 3. The way Li blushes when he sees Sakura. 4. The teddy-bear scene. 5. Rika giving the bear to Mr. Terada. 6. Li thinking of giving a bear to Sakura."Return your love......" Well that's all, hope I didn't spoil too much! By all means buy this book, 'kay!

Mistress of the Clow

As usual with CLAMP, the artwork is gorgeous. The characters and their relationships are explored more, and we're introduced to some new characters. Some of what happens is easily predictable, but there are also some surprising twists to the story. As someone else mentioned, the transalation leaves a little to be desired, but most of the mistakes are rather minor. You don't necessarily have to have read the first series, however, it does help with understanding the characters. If you aren't a big fan of maho-shoujo (magical girl) manga, this won't appeal to you. If you are, this is one of the best series out there.

Okay, so I still haven't read hardly any of the original series, which means I'm still a bit in the dark about some things. However, none of that made this book any less fun. Sakura's class gets a new boy named Eriol, who Li is jealous of, because he believes Sakura likes him (Eriol). Also, there are enchantments popping up in the city that Sakura is completely unable to stop. She has to figure out what to do, and fast. As usual, the artwork is lovely, and I just love reading about the characters and their relationships. If you're just looking for action, you should probably look elsewhere: the best part of the book is the way that each of the character's relationships to one another are developed.

A new, better CCS

The 7th volume of Cardcaptor Sakura is, for me, the best book so far. With the new right-to-left format, it actually became much easier for me to read and gives it an authentic feel.Also, the plot moves along much faster than it did in the last arc. Sakura finds a mysterious new power that allows her to create her own Sakura cards. Three new characters--Eriol, Nakuru, and Spinel Sun are introduced. And we finally see Syaoran's feelings for Sakura!!I became quite disillusioned with the very boring volumes 5 and 6...but 7 is infinitely better, and is a must for any CCS fan!

Another hit by TokyoPop

Cardcaptor Sakura:Master of the Clow #1 is really great; much better than I expected. TokyoPop has changed the format of the manga around a bit. For instance, they have printed in in the original format, in other words, the page pics and stuff read from right to left. It is just like reading a real Japanese Manga! *Note: the sentences are still written from left to right. Also, they have left in alot of the japanese writing. I find it quite refreshing. As for the plot, of course it's great! I recommend this for anyone who loves Cardcaptor Sakura or any other shoujo manga. :)
