I have a copy of this book which I bought almost 9 years back. This is one of the best Introductory programming books I've ever read. Schildt has an excellent skill of explaining difficult concepts in a simple manner. Over the years I've recommended this book to many of my friends. Every one of them found this book easy to read. I would strongly recommend this book to anybody getting started in C.

Great book to learn the basics of C

This book explains the basics of C without going into specifics about windows or operating systems. I personally needed to learn C to program microcontrollers, not to write windows applications. This book is an excellent learning tool and an excellent reference.
