A great tool for the prayerful busy mom

THis is a wonderful tool for moms who feel that they just dont cover everything that they would like to on those days when things are so very busy. There is scripture and the topics cover every are of you life. I highly recommend it for those who love the Lord and need a helpful outline for their prayer time.

I cannot urge you enough to get this book if you have had any difficulty in meeting with God daily. I have two toddlers. When my second child arrived it really made managing my prayer life difficult for me. I had tried many new ways to structure my devotional/prayer time but nothing was really working. I saw Lisa's book and thought it was worth a shot. Lisa organizes (which is what i needed help with) all the topics you could dream of and leaves space for you to fill in your own requests. She includes a scripture that is relevant to the topic so you can pray THE WORD. I successfully went through the journal in twenty days and that included a vacation. I was able to keep up even out of town and yes, the kids were with us!! I have really seen a difference in my outlook in taking on the challenges of each day over the last few months. I'm certain this is because I have been able to meet with my heavenly father each day, beginning it in the right way.

Revitalize your prayer life!

I picked up this book, like any other, thinking I would read through the first few chapters, get the gist of it and put it away, after all I am a busy mother, wife and business woman who rarely has time to read and often does her praying on the run, (driving the car, doing the treadmill, or in short breaths throughout the day). I couldn't have been more wrong. This book gave my prayer life the spiritual jolt that it needed! I look forward to actually sitting still before God and praying in a more meaningful way than I have in years, Lisa's writing has opened my eyes to new topics to pray about: my kid's friends parents, the media, the economy, even other religions. It added a spark to prayers that focus specifically on my children and husband in areas I don't always remember: their thought life, diligence, personal holiness, and humility along with many others. The simple short prayers are referenced with scripture and easy to blend into a heartfelt conversation with God opening my mind to deeper meditation and genuine praise. The spiral bound edition makes it easy to keep track of the day and by leaving it open on my night stand, beckons me to pick it up on a regular basis.
