Good Stuff

The book was great and it was shipped in a timely manner. What more could you ask for. I can't wait to read the next volume.

Brothers, and cousins, and twins...oh my!

You're likely to have one of two reactions to this volume: you'll either roll your eyes at Akira getting kidnapped yet again, or you'll anxiously await Rei dashing to his rescue and that classic mix of lovingly possessive romance this series excels at providing. Then again, you can be like me and do both. Yes, the Akira gets into trouble and Rei gets angry and comes to save him is a bit repetitive of what we've seen in other volumes, but the characters are what make this still worth the read. We finally get a glimpse at what makes Rei tick and Akira's conviction to stick by him no matter what is charmingly sweet. I really enjoyed Raoul in this volume as well as he shows some character growth aside from just being a foil to cause problems for our boys. Deep down he's not nearly as bad as he comes off. His little sisters are adorable too. The adults face some problems of their own this time too when Shigure's older brother, now recovered from his injury, shows up to replace him as Rei's bodyguard. This of course means Shigure is expected to head back to America and guard Raoul and his sisters, an event Okumiya is determined to prevent. Yuji's appearance only adds to the drama. Volume four is full of the standard fare for this series and if you've enjoyed the books so far you'll like this one as well. It's also notable for the cosplay adventure at the back of the book. I hold these characters quite dear and can't wait to see the different relationships continue to develop. Bring on volume 5!

Immensely Enjoyable series!

This series is simply addictive, with new insights in every volume. In vol 4, we are introduced to the somewhat cool and stern Sagiri (Shigure's elder brother), whom Shigure tries to measure up to. The haughty Sir Raoul is back, with a pair of cute twin sisters in tow. A sad part of Rei's childhood is revealed here. Sir Yuji is his usual cranky self, popping out of the blue and creating headaches for everyone. The scenes between Sir Yuji and Sagiri is quite hilarious. And let's not forget the enigmatic Okumiya's interest in the clueless but likable Shigure. Last but not least is the growing love between Rei and Akira and Vol 4 again provides some teasing scenes but "not all the way". I just love this mangaka's artwork. Her boys/men are just so expressive and the small panels do provide some light fun moments. Vol 4 ends with the mangaka promising to develop Okumiya's and Shigure's relationship in Vol 5 and there is also hint that Rei and Akira might just go all the way in Vol 5.
