Fast Pace and Great Read!

Unlike the other reader in this review, I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the hero, Harry, was having a difficult time emotionally with the loss of his son and he felt a tremendous amount of guilt. When someone cannot identify with this type of emotion, they have not dealt with the pains of losing someone very close. I was glad to see that he finally realized he "needed" somebody. Certainly our heroine's emotional being grew also. I think Suzanne does an excellent job in not only telling a great story, but also in developing her characters along the way so that in the end you never forget them. In fact, George shows up again in Out of Control.

I have read all of her books and they only get better. This was a book that you can laugh and as well as cry. The story is unrealistic but hey--that's why everyone reads Brockmann' books - to entertain! Just plain fun and enjoyment. This was definitely both of those.
What a terrific book!

I really enjoyed this book. In fact, I couldn't put it down. The characters are great, especially Harry. Ms. Brockmann is a terrific writer, and I'm looking forward to her next book.
View from an advance reader: Gritty and Compelling

"Body Guard", Suzanne Brockmann's newest novel from Fawcett Gold Medal, again demonstrates her mastery of the romantic adventure. The tale brings together loose-cannon FBI agent Harry O'Dell, and Alessandra Lamont, an ex-mob trophy wife with a contract on her head. When the FBI's plan to use Alessandra as bait to catch a mob boss goes wrong, she is ready to take her chances and walk away from protective custody. But Harry convinces her to stick with him, and the two set off on a dangerous, cross-country game of hide and seek. Brockmann weaves complex characterizations, tight plotting, compelling subplots, touches of wry humor, emotion and suspense into an intricate, gritty tale of love and danger. All in all, another winner from the pen of Suzanne Brockmann!
