A MUST READ FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE SUBJECT OF SEX!Anne Hastings provides a much needed message about our sexual experience as human beings. Reading this book has opened my eyes and my soul to the misinformation that we have all been given and continue to give one another about ourselves and our sexuality. Hastings provides a voice to any person wanting to lead a fuller, richer life and to understand "why we are the way we are."

BODY AND SOUL I think challenges our culture to discover healthy sexuality. Dr. Hastings has done a great job looking at the unhealthy aspects of our culture's treatment of sexuality, especially in her naming of shame as being a crippling emotion affecting almost everyone's sexuality. I think she provides a necessary acknowledgement of how our society perpetuates unhealthy sexuality, as well as offering hope for change to a healthy whole sexuality. Since sex is such a basic part of each of us, without healing it, I doubt we will able to change our cultures various dysfunctions. Her writing is clear and direct, sharing her observations of her work as a therapist, and her own sexual healing from growing up with a father with sexual secrets. I recommend this book for anyone who is not satisfied with their sexual life.
