Bite the Bullet

Sasha Trudeau's life will never be as she knew it before finding out that she has Shadow wolf DNA in her genes... Demon-infected werewolf blood is still being sold on the black market. A double cross between species is in the offing. Brother will turn against brother as the infection spreads. Sasha must find the strength to mercifully eliminate the very real threat of her demon infected mate to her life as well as deduce who is selling the infected blood on the black market, and use her skills as a diplomat to defuse the threat of an all-out war between Shadow wolves and werewolves. As if these factors aren't enough, Sasha must also deal with the fact that her own body betrays her. When she goes into heat, will she stay true to her demon-infected mate, or give in to the temptation that Shogun represents?

I Want Some More!

In Bite the Bullet by L.A. Banks, government solider, Sasha Trudeau is back and the action is not far behind! Soldier by day, wolf by night...not necessarily, Sasha Trudeau is straight solider through and through, first and foremost, only considering her wolf as an afterthought. But of course, the wolf inside of her is quite strong and will not go unnoticed or ignored for long. The moon sings a seductive song her wolf finds simply irresistible. On top of having a slight conflict between the two beings within her, Sasha and her crew have to fight against rogue wolves and a poisonous toxin that is spreading rapidly throughout the rogue wolves blood. Add to that one Max Hunter, Sasha's "intended" mate, Hunter, is considered a loose cannon by his tribe because of a mishap, a very big mishap that occurred at birth. When things go awry, Hunter again has to face the demons of his past. During such a time of peril, Sasha needs Hunter but because of the mishap, he may be a danger to Sasha, her crew, his tribe and other innocent beings. And so begins the race against time for Sasha Trudeau and her crew to isolate and contain while protecting the innocent. Bite the Bullet is book two in the Crimson Moon Novels by L.A. Banks. This book has an explosive mixture of action, passion, and politics. The words action and passion go together nicely, but insert politics and that creates a brand new dynamic, one Banks wove into the series quite cleverly. With her use of wolves, werewolves, vampires and mythical creatures including the fae, dragons, unicorns and a host of other beings, politics takes on a shape that will definitely have readers nodding in agreement to parallels that are clearly visible to real world happenings. Readers who read book one, Bad Blood, will enjoy the growth of main character, Sasha Trudeau. She is increasingly becoming aware of her attraction for Max Hunter and learning to embrace her inner wolf. I highly recommend Bite the Bullet by L.A. Banks which will I predict will make many lists as being the "must read" book of the year. Reviewed by Chantay W. APOOO BookClub

Banks Does it Again!

Having been introduced to the Vampire Huntress books and fallen in love with them, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a new series by the same author. It had to be good, didn't it? I wasn't disappointed by the first one and this one just moved the whole story up a notch or maybe two. Once again, Sasha is in the midst of a operation to save wolfkind and herself, at least that's how I'm reading the basic scenario. Two strong male characters just add to the mix of human/werewolf/infected werewolf - what a combination! I know that I had started to read five minutes after I received my copy and didn't put it down till I finished. Lunch was very late that day,LOL and I didn't even apologise.

Better than the first

The characters in this installment weren't nearly as hard to keep track of as they were in the first book. Again, Banks has created a world that interweaves "common" mythology with her own take, which is often a blend of the various versions applicable to a creature. The resolution of Hunter's mixing is something I look forward to - even a tad more than Sasha's eventual acceptance of her bond to him. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Shogun get a story or two of his own.

ALL I CAN SAY IS KEEP THEM COMING L.A. BANKS!!

I have read every Vampire Huntress novel except for the last. (Feb. 2009 can't come fast enough) Anything to keep me reading books from such an amazing author. I love the Crimsom Moon Novels. Bite the Bullet is a rollercoaster ride of wonder!!! It was indeed a page turner. I can't wait for the third book. You will definitely enjoy every minute of this book...so much happens...you never know how it is going to end..until it does. Then you just want to keep reading. I LOVE THIS BOOK.
