A View From Colorado

Author Julie Stiegemeyer and Illustrator Gina Capaldi have created a fresh, imaginative interpretation of the age-old story of Jesus' birth. The beautiful illustrations captivated my gradeschool-age children as we read the nicely crafted poetic verses together. If on Christmas Eve the children clamor for "Twas the Night Before Christmas," give them "Bethlehem Night" as well. It makes for a fine companion story about the real night before Christmas.
