Clever and Fun

Adults and kids alike will get a kick out of the rhymes and pictures. Each of the animals in this book have their own quippy little story-like poems. At bedtime you don't have to read the whole book, just pick out some of your favorite animal poems. Also enjoy looking for the hidden mouse on each page.

Fun to read and look at

If you were a fan of the clever rhymes of Ogden Nash and you loved the drawings of Dr. Zeuss, then Feast on this Beastly Book. The text will entertain the adults, while the pictures twirl the kids. See if they can find the mouse. There is one in every drawing. And there is a picture for every story. Those pictures are a little more cutting in their social satire as is the versatile verse, than Ogden Nash or Dr. Zeuss. But hey, this is the 21st century.

A feast for the eyes as well as the ears

There is no question that this is a book to be read out loud. And a clever one at that- thank God, because if the last week is any indication I'm going to be reading this one to my son nightly until my daughter is old enough to take his place. The art is nothing short of wonderful, and finding the hidden mouse on every page seems to be a constant source of delight.
