Dawn and claudia have a perfect day panned. They've invited Dawn's brother Jeff and three kids to join them on a sailing race out to Greenpoint Island. The girls have even packed a picnic lunch for the adventure. But then a big storm blows up in the middle of the race. and claudia and dawn and the kids never return from their island. The Baby sitters can't believe it's true, two of their members are missing!

my favourite super special!

this is my favourite baby sitters club super special. Claudia and Dawn went on a sailing race and took some baby sitting charges with them, but then there is an ugly storm and they ended up on another island that wasn't Greenpoint Island, where they were supposed to go, have lunch and come back to Stoneybrook. Everyone is worried about them missing and whether they survived, but it's much more fun reading about their Island adventures. Although they are stranded and it's sad, they do a lot of creative things for their survival, such as fishing, playing games, claudia making a water catcher so they can have water for survival, making a fire, splitting the food they had, etc. It's so amazing and kind of odd that claudia happened to find a big mirror-like object that helped rescue them all, she attracted a plane in the sky that was a search plane and shortly, a rescue boat with their families on picked them up. Suspenseful novel for young readers

Although I am now 18 years old, I still enjoy looking back on my Baby-Sitters Club books and reading them over again just for fun. Baby-Sitters' Island Adventure is probably one of the best super specials, though they are all really good.In Baby-Sitters Island Adventure, Dawn and Claudia have been taking sailing lessons for a while. When their instructors tell them they can sail without any counselors after a tied sailing race, Claudia and Dawn decide to race again for a rematch. But then, they decide to take some of the kids they baby-sit for (Becca Ramsey--Jessi's nine-year-old sister; nine-year-old Haley Braddock; four-year-old Jamie Newton, and Dawn's ten-year-old brother, Jeff), and just race from Stoneybrook to an island close by called Greenpoint Island and then have a picnic and come right back.On the day of the race, the sky looks bright and clear. But while they are out in the water racing, there is a freak thunderstorm which makes Dawn's boat flood! The sailboats they are using are too small for all six of them but manage to make it to a small unknown island far off course. Now the other baby-sitters and the town of Stoneybrook are worried: How long can two teens with four young children last? But the real question is...did they all survive? And if they did, where ARE they?In this thrilling novel you will learn all about learning how to survive while you are alone on an island (okay...so maybe not. This is my favorite BSC super speical. This is also the first BSC super special that I read. I love this book because it is very exciting and it tells how Claudia and Dawn tries to survive with a bunch of other younger kids too with them on an island all alone. This makes you realize how much you appreciate things in your life and how important your family and friends are to you and how much they mean in your life
