An utterly fantastic creative catalyst

My parents bought me this book when I was about 6 & it did something wonderful to me... My brother and I both had a copy, so we would compete to come up with the most far out & imaginative ideas to fill the half empty space on each page... Some of the pages that I remember the most are; * You are an inventer that has just created the most useful robot ever! Draw it... * You have just discovered a new species of fish! Draw it... * You have won a billion pounds in a lottery. Draw what you will spend your money on! Formulaic, yes, but to a young mind this was an astonishingly free and exciting format... No other book has ever challenged & engaged my creativity in such a way. Although it is clearly aimed at young children, I am absolutely sure that anyone would find this book beautifully engaging and interesting if left alone with it for an afternoon... This book urges the reader to push their creativity further than ever, and then to visualise their findings... Find a cheap copy, and don't be afraid to scrawl your heart out... (I am now 24, working as a designer / animator, about to embark on an MA in animation... I adore this book. It is like creative steroids... In a good way)... Have FUN. PS: only 4 out of 5 stars because it is probably not as long as I remember... Plus you have to draw on the pages, so you can't really use it twice...
